Izzy Seasons is having a bad day. Epically bad. In a matter of hours, she’s out of a job, an apartment, and a boyfriend. So, when her mother calls with the news that Great Aunt Isabelle has died, Izzy decides it’s the perfect time for a trip home to Adeline Island.

Aunt Isabelle never seemed particularly fond of her family, but to everyone’s surprise, she recently changed her will and has left Izzy her huge, oceanfront house. But there’s a catch. A few in fact; the most pressing being that the ghost of Aunt Isabelle has taken up residence.

Isabelle was always a bit cantankerous and dying hasn’t done anything to improve her mood. She’s insistent that her death was no accident and she’s not going anywhere until the culprit is found. If that isn’t motivation enough for Izzy to do a little detective work, the new chief of police doesn’t think it was an accident either. He’s asking a lot of questions, and they’re all aimed at proving Izzy’s family was involved in the murder.
