He needed a home, so he was saddled with a mortgage. He needed cars to get to and from work, and of course, those things led to needing other things, like fuel, maintenance costs, insurance, electricity, and much more.

Then an unexpected divorce shattered his world and made him take stock of the life he was living. Was this the kind of life he wanted?

So, Roger bought a small seaworthy sailing vessel, quit his job, and took off to see what he could find.

His dream was to learn about different cultures. He visited many South Pacific Islands and countries like New Zealand, where a tragedy struck. He continued onward to Australia, the Soloman Islands, Papua New Guinea, and Thailand. Then after returning home to look after elderly parents, he now lives in the Republic of Panama.
