Sitting through History class twice a week at school is bad enough. Having to relive it for real with your annoying geek-boy brother? That's just not fair. Kristen and Brad are taking part in a Revolutionary War battle re-enactment when they suddenly find themselves back in 1777. They have no way of knowing what's going on; all they can do is try to deal with what's happening. The siblings meet Rebecca Darrow, who is on her way to deliver an important message to General Washington. They also team up with Jacob Tyson, an ancestor of one of their modern-day friends. Along the way they deal with a spymaster, army deserters, and British soldiers who just keep getting in the way. And they still have to figure out how to get back to their own time....
