It's the year 1986. Iron Maiden is the best band in the world, Conan the Barbarian the most popular comic book and everybody plays Call of Cthulhu horror role-playing game. One day at school there's a rumour that a ghost has been seen on the schoolyard. As the investigation into the mystery progresses, it's revealed that reality is far more horrific – and infinitely more sad – than anything supernatural.

Mika Lietzén (born 1974) is a Finnish comic book artist. 1986 is his first comic book done in an American style, a loving tribute to ghost stories and the popular culture of the eighties.
