Remington stares at the rubble by his feet. He scatters it over the hole nearby to conceal the dead woman lying beneath the concrete.

The one who resembles her. Edwina.

All those who look like Edwina must be killed. Simon says so. And what Simon wants, Simon gets.

Remington walks over to a different pile of rubble, another woman buried beneath it. Although, given how much time has passed since he put her there, she must be rotting by now.

It does smell around here . . .

Later that evening, Detective Bethany Smith receives a disturbing call:

“I’ve killed a woman. I did it, he didn’t.”
“Excuse me?”
“I’m going to be killing more. He said that’s what I need to do.”
“What’s your name, please, sir?”

The line goes dead.
